How does it work !!

For the last week or two i have been getting prices to set up a new tank,looking in all the lfs i can and on line.Here in lies my delema one item i found ranged from $85 to $187 i must point out that this is the same brand/size item in each case.I do understand that on line stores dont have the overheads as lfs but even in shops the price went from $105 to $187 , now i guess that there would be only a few wholesalers supplying these goods but the price cant vary that much im sure that its not only me that wonders this, i would like to hear your comments on this.

I guess it comes down to the old adage "something's only worth what someone else is willing to pay for it".

Overheads would vary from shop to shop as well, meaning their profit margin would need to be adjusted, then I guess some just feel they can charge more than others because of the location or the look of their shop.

We can always vote with our feet. Walk out of the expensive shop, and into the more reasonable one.

Shops can practice free enterprise, and we can exercise freedom of choice :P
