I have at present have 2 marine tanks and am about to strip one back to a planted discus tank. It is a 4"L x 18"W x 20"H tank running 2 x 39W HO 10000 T5 and a 39W Actinic HO T5. Any advcie on whether this lighting is suitable for freshwater tanks? Thanks :D

actinic is useless for plants, even red plants cant use light that short a wavelength, 10000ks are ok, replace the actinic with a plant tube like a growlux or something similar.
with 120w of light over a little tank like that you'll need co2 and a good substrate, gonna be a great looking planted tank, dont be suprised if you get emersed type growth under water

120w light will be fine especially with good reflectors.[/quote]
