Boy from Girl

Hi guys
Trying to breed angles ,i have several pairs(?) that lay about every 10 days they last 2 days then go white then get eaten.This has happened apprx 25 times you would think with 9 large fish there would be a pair.My question is how can i have a chance of telling pairs.

the male will have a pointy tube sticking out when breeding and the girl will have a flat end to the tube

sounds like its more of a water issue

great that they are spawning , your water to hard perhaps whats your KH?

Mature angel males develop a slight but noticeable hump on the head.

Females have a straight line from the nose to the start of the dorsal fin.

Thanks guys i never seem to be home when they spawn so havnt seen the tubes,i have been told the gap between the " legs" is wider on the female ,also the angel of the body to anal fin is a smooth flow on one sex and sharpe angel on the other.My water is as follows

15%water change 3x a week
The body size of most is 6/7 cms and i got most of them at 5cent pice size in feb this year, they get fed twice a day (beef heart,flake,crumble,bloodworms,vegies and live food )so do i keep on going till it happens or do i change something ?.

Your tank stats sound fine Cliff.

I think your pairs are just too young.

Give them a few more months to mature.
