why can't I edit my posts

I am a little confused in that I was sure in a previous thread I could edit my posts. I have started a journal in the planted section for my new tank and I would like the option of editing it. How can I enable editing my own posts. ?

Some topic areas allow editing, others dont. Because of people in the past abusing the edit and delete functions it has been removed in a few topic areas.

Try again in the planted topic area as I have just made some changes.
