Minimum tank size

Hi,

Just wondering what the minimum size tank you would use for a breeding pair? I have a 40cm x 36cm x 30cm which i bought to use as a hospital tank for a sick discus i had. Since it died before i got a chance to use it :cry: , i thought i would ask instead of just returning it.

thats a bit small for a breeding tank,in germany the rule is 50cmx50cmx50cm.here i use 65cmx42cmx42cm.only because there was on spezial in my LFS($50)
