:thumb I heard they are very tricky to breed. Well done! But then again not many people do put the as much effort into their fish keeping as you do!
Now breed 300 of them and stick them in a 4 foot planted tank!

Did you have them in dark cupboard or anything to that extent? And have you seen this thread before? http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/photo-album/31255-crshadows-tetra-breeding-project-56k-warning.html
Might help you as you raise your fry, goodluck!

Here is a photo of the setup. ok it does not look like much! lol
I have a small plastic tank in the 4x18 tank. The smaller tank has 2 holes cut in the top, one in the bottom middle with a fixed stand pipe. A airstone in put in the stand pipe bring water from the main tank into the smaller tank, then gentle flows out the 2 holes in the top.
I conditioned the cardinals (7 girls and 5 boys) well on blackworms.
The PH was gradually brought down via black water extract and cattapa leaves. I waited for a low presure front and done a massive %90 water change with RO water. I took the adult cardinals out 2 days after the massive water change. There is a lot of plant matter in the smaller tank so some eggs could be hidden from the hungry adults.

Okies not soo impressive now! I killed all the fries, Looks like a PH imbalance issue. I got 3/4 the way there though...
