i have two heckles in a 100ltr cycled tank with a sponge, iv'e just put another small sponge filter in there to seed it for another tank.
approx how long will it take to seed ?

I use two weeks as a minimum, dropping in a bit of seasoned canister media into the air lift tube speeds it up A LOT!

rob is asking how long it takes for the sponge to cycle to put in a nother tank, so seding is to get bacteria growing in the sponge. hope that helps

I'd put the small filter in the other tank, take your heckel sponge and squeeze it into the other tank. I do that, not sure if its recommended but works for me.

i did that tonight Samir after having the small sponge in the heckle tank for 2 weeks, so hopefully i'm all ready to go now...
