How do you guys "prune" banana plants? Is it ok to trim off the leaves that are right on top of the bananas? Also what do I do if the lilly pad was floating on top of the water, and then the stem lost its lilly pad :? Can I trim that stem? or will it make a new lilly pad?
Thanks much as always :D

trim the excess leaves as close to the base as possible, if you want floating leaves leave them there and give it time leaves will reach the surface and of ten start produsing little plantlets, if a stem looses its leaf remove the stem near the base

Thanks ILLUSN I will trim the banana plant a lil bit today during my water change. I had a banana plant in the past, and it grew, but then I did some trimming and it died :? so I wanted to make sure I understand how to trim it this time before I did it
Thanks very much :D
