Moving established setup

Hi all,
I'm going to have to move my fish setup 2hous away,by road, and am wondering how to keep the filter "alive" for the trip. i have a 240volt source in the car and was thinking of just looping the in and out of the filter with a hose and running it like that for the duration of the car trip????

any coments would be greatly appreciated.

Just throw the media in a bucket with the tank water and throw a airstone in there. Power it using a battery airpump rather then making round with cables or whatever. Battery airpumps cost around $15.
