I've been searching a fair bit for an RO machine. Can anyone recommend an Australian store where i can buy one? I'm located in Adelaide.

My discus friend reckons i need a 6 stage filter process. Is that really neccesary for Aquarium water?

The water i am getting i mix 60/40 with tap gives me ph6.8 ,kh3,gh2. at the moment im useing rain water but the ro water after mixing is about the same .I feel this ro unit (3stage) iis up to the task as long as you change the filters regularly .The down side to ro is the waste about 3lt waste for 1 lt ro water .

I second the PSI call, a lot of the Marine Reefers on MASA use them and all of them reckon the service is great.

I'm not in Australia so can't comment on what is available to you guys, sorry.

But in the UK, ROman do a kit to help minimise the waste water, if I understand it right they piggyback a second membrane (and sometimes even third) on the waste water so refiltering and harvesting more of it. My description is a bit pants but here is the link that may explain it a bit better
