Hi, I am new to this forum and new to discus as well. I have kept and bred all types of freshwater fish in the past 20 years but these heavenly beauties I have been scared to try.

I just purchased one today. I will be posting lots of questions and some pics of my new baby once it is all settled in its new home.

Welcome, I think the only special thing with discus is lots fresh water and clean food. Don't be scared, as an amateur such as me seems to be doing ok after 4 months.

Thank you for the warm welcome. I am hoping that in four months my discus will still be alive :roll:

I attempted a saltwater nano tank almost a year ago now and it is doing just great. If I can master that I am hoping to master this discus :)
