Does Triple Sulfa affect the biological filter?

Hello,

I would like to know whether or not Triple Sulfa will affect the biological filter. Will the answer depend on how long it is used for (eg the instructions say that the treatment could be repeated after 3 days, so at what point will the biological filter start being affected, if at all).

Looking forward to hearing your experiences with this medicine!

Triple sulfa will affect the biological filter. At least that is what I have been told by my LFS in the past.
It is best to set up a hospital tank if you can.

what are you using it for? maybe there is an alternative that wont affect the bioload.
