best way 2 clean\sterilise 2nd hand tanks

Hi all
i picked up some used 2ftr's today that were used for discus breeding.
anyways my ? is what is the best way to clean these tanks out\ sterilise before re stocking them for breeding?

hey cruzn2 i would just use salt water mate you can use bleach too but you must drain and dry well after it . and us a sponge to whipe the glass ,

when u say salt water - how much salt to water ratio to add to kill any germs snail eggs and so on- and just rinse clean afterwards?

i use warm water and stir as much salt as will disolve in it , then rinse ofter anyway ron it will do the trick mate
