Hihi Every one first time Discus keeper here :) i just got my self 3 discus fish, for my 45 gallon tank and they look very nice, one thing that bothers me is that one of the discus is quite aggressive and chases the other tow discus away, the aggressive one is a bit larger then the other ones, can that be the reason ?

the larger one is around 9 - 10 cm and the smaller ones are about 7cm

thats probably right.you should put them in the 120 and buy 6 more :D
that spread the agression.

I have also been through the exact same experience and I agree with the german.

When I first kept discus I had 3 in a 45 gallon tank. The bigger one harrassed the other two constantly until I decided it was not working and I sold them.

The second time around I put them in a 110 gallon tank and had 4 discus with 6 earth eaters. The discus love it and are first to the front of the tank to be fed. The discus are often just as aggressive as the eartheaters when competing for food.
