hi am new to discus but am wanting to give them a try as love the look of them. i read that a 2ft is big enough for a breeding pair. is it possable to put them with a breeding pair of peppermint bristlenose or will the discus eat the peppermint bristlenose fry or vice versa. any help would be great thanks.

hi there new discus welcome to thew forum . i would like to set you a diffrent track as 2ft may be ok for breeding i dont recomend it for fish you wish to display it is realy not big enough. the smallist that i would suggest is 3ftx20"x20" that would be ok for about 4 discus . you can start small but you will restricet there growing copasity, and stunt them , even better i would like to recomend that you start with a 4ft . but best of luck with it ,

I agree with Scott, a 2 footer is okay for a breeding tank but not a permanent housing solution.
