If the sucking catfish you're referring to is what I think - then it is not a true catfish.

Do you have any photos?

Thomas.

will try and take one now if they dont go hide, hehehehe

Told they are called 'sucking cats'???? They are both in my 4ft tank and have just breed my bristlenose in my 2ft. Lots o babies at the moment so i thought i might try and breed the others.

Anyway ill try and take a pic asap.

Just what I thought - these are not catfish.

The other common name is Chinese Algae Eater, and can become quite territorial and aggressive once settled.

Even their common name has "Algae Eater" in it, they're not effective algae eater at all. Best and most reliable is the bristlenose and their relatives.

Don't waste time in breeding them, they're not worth the effort (not useful fish).

Thomas.
