Baby Discus tank: 2 ft x1 ft x2ft ..... 50% water change daily.

Drain tank straight out of the tank out the window (approx 40%)
Get hose from storage barrel which has aged water, and has been treated eith a de-chlor.
Turn the pump on and wait till full.
Takes about 10mins all up..

for the 4 fish tanks i got (see my post in DIY section)
switch off the sump pump let it siphon the water from tank about 10% of all tank (around 70lts)
turn off the ball value of outlet water from 4 tanks,
open ball value connected to the sump and let it drain out to backyard
shut or open various ball values, open ball value for aged water to sump, shut it when it reach the same water level as b4 in the sump, switch the pump on!!
this is done daily for one of the feeding time out of 3
all up 5 to 10mins
aged water is sitted up in the balcony, a 750lts old freezer was used, then gravity feed to sump!!
i'm so lazy to do tank maintenance so this works for me :D :D

6 tanks (soon to be 10) 30% water change every day, wipe insides and vacuum bottom - around 1 - 2 hours depending on how much time I spend sitting and admiring the fish.

2 200ltr tanks both get about 35% w/c every day.
drain tanks to outside drain then connect hose to pump in aged water strage outside and pump back in. i need a new pump so it takes about half an hour from start to finish. with a new pump i could cut it down to 15-20 mins i think.

during the week i try this routine
sit down, drink beer, finish beer, get another, finish that, get hungry, packet of chips, then a beer, finish that beer, decide that i need a bigger beer cause i keep having to get up to get another, pour a pint, drink the pint, get another, finish that, fall asleep in front of tank
takes me all night to get that done
lucky for me i automated my water changes,
just once on the weekend i vac of mullim and crap, trim some plants, wipe the glass, then do the extended version of my weekday routine.
the fish seem to like it
