I rob trains and follow maps in search for buried gold

I also work casually at Video Ezy (about 7hrs a week). I go to uni full time so I dont have as much time to work. 7hrs isnt much but its enough to pay for my aquaholism

i think im being ripped on my super too..ive been checking up and from what ive read my employer contribution should be 9% of my wage before tax.
im also contributing some extra myself but i dont want to be putting in more money to only cover what im not receiving from my employer.

am i right? 9% of weekly income before tax?
weekly i am earning approximately 830 before tax and receive 47 in super and sacrifice an additional 15 for the co-contribution scheme

this has had me pissed off in the past, i questioned the payroll officer at work about it and she gave me some bullsht about how everyones super 'works itself out' at the end of the month (ie. basically saying extra goes in at the end of the month to cover what was missing) i stupidly accepted her answer and it wasnt until tonight when i was going through all my pay slips i saw by super was statically 47/week

I'm a Technical Specialist for Telstra (I can here the grumblings already....) but nothing to do with mobiles or telephone lines.

I look after Audio lines for Radio stations (between studio and transmitters) and also Analogue and Digital Video networks between all the studios for the major networks plus others (Foxtel, Sky News, Sky Racing etc...) including transmitter links also.

I am also involved in outside broadcasts, e.g. Anzac Day from the war memorial comes via my work place, Telstra Tower. Best office view in all of Canberra that's for sure.

Hey ILLUSN, good luck for the big day mate!

I work for President Bush - errr -PM John Howard

Bald_Noggin. Nothing wrong with working for telstra mate. Fine company - just let down by the geriatrics that run it

Martraci - go and check up on your super stuff. It will mean a lot down the track. get an auditor in if you need to.

As a matter of interest, the ADF, I get 28 p% employer contribution. At the end of my service - looking at around 1.2 million to retire on. Now who else out there though the ADF were clowns in unform. JOIN NOW!!

In all reality - doesnt give me too much time for my fishies though

Hi all,

I work warping and frustrating the minds of young people and it is lots of fun :)

Some of the people I work with probably work with Taskan's colleagues in this part of the world to find cash to pay for the ridiculously priced books that I tell them they need to purchase and learn in order to avoid having me crush their dreams by handing them grades that they can roll home to mom and dad :D

One of the reasons I don't support Taskan's industry (no offense mate) is that it just brings up too many potential problems... someone comes in to talk to me... Hey, I know you from somewhere... Where have I seen your photo befo- ohhh.... hmmm...

It is sad to give out rolling marks and I try to avoid it, but the good thing about zeros is that they do add up quickly! :)

As to working for ADF, could be a good deal for retirement, if you make it there. One of my former flatmates from down in Oz FINALLY got married to her guy and three weeks after the honeymoon she was on a plane to say bye to him at a hospital in Germany after he got himself blown up in Iraq.

Me, I'll take my job as a prof at uni. :)
