Hi i have finished my drain and fill system in my fish room and it seems to work well sofar a few floods as i got the water flow right .So on one rack i have used 25mm condut with two openings on each leg of the stand i use a hose and drain straight into the openings whitch flows on to the front lawn.The other stand has taps in each tank all hooked up together in to the same drain as other stand once the tanks have drained to the level i want turn of taps and turn on pump in storage tanks to fill.Now in each tank there is a float valve which turns of the water at a choosen level ,filling takes about an hour to fill all tanks. Now the good bit the float valves are the same as they use on large fork lift batteriesnot cheap but work so well so here are some pics that should help make some sense of my rambling.
