Will marble in the aquarium affect the pH?

Marble is not good for fish tank. It contains lots of metals that can be bad for fish. pH is the less thing you will worry about if you have marble in your tank.

Avoid any layered colorful stones because the colors come from metals and they will end up in your tank water. Not a good thing at all.

I put some lovely looking quartz in my tank - when I was young & had a lot to learn. What a disaster!!!! gH skyrocketted & the fish went rapidly in the other direction.

I also have a layered stone that came with the sand, I better get rid of that too. Thanks a lot,
