If suspended above the tank the MG1500 is fine.
A lot of light manufacturers dont actually make large reflectors of 4ft length, rather stopping at 5ft and using the height of being suspended to their advantage as the light covers a much wider footprint than you would expect. (I have seen 5ft fixtures on 7ft tanks with no problems or shadey areas)

Currently the sale of this light is on hold until I move into a new place and set up some new tanks. If it is not required your offer will be considered.

I still have the light.
It will be back up for sale in the coming weeks, however it wont be sold on its own. It will be sold as a package deal with a 5x2.5x2ft open top tank with cabinet, background, sump filter. It will be sold auction style with it listed at $1,000, no reserve price. (the tank, cabinet and sump are worth $1,000 on there own).
The tank was built specifically for this light, with the side braces a little lower than usual to accomodate the light supports (great for those who cant suspend the light from above).
As it is, the outer 2 halides never get used, and the middle one only a few hours each day max.... so it is almost as good as new.
as per images below
