Pity it is classed as a noxious weed in NSW and is illegal to sell

Hi proteus, is it only illegal in NSW or whole Australia??

Cant say it is illegal, just on the noxious list (in NSW)

Basically means if you are in NSW and you are caught selling it or supplying it you get a slap...

Other states I am unsure.

also, and FYI, in a couple of months Elodea will also be banned in NSW as it has just been declared a noxious weed as well...

Buggered - I was just about to wonder what to do with the over-grown elodea in my tank :(

How about giving them away for free?? If this only going into a fish tank, is this illegal as well?

The edit feature has been disbaled in this area for over 2 years due to dodgy activities that went on previously.

Sadly due to the actions of a few it affects everybody.
