Managed to get a few shots of this little guy yesterday. He's in a group of 5 and going crazy in an 80L Orca.

Hey schmuck,
didn't you have these guys in that 6ft tank of yours?
I've noticed my corys prefer the sand base to gravel. you should see how they bury themselves in the sand to hide from being caught when you want to take em out!
lol
(your 6ft was sand base right?)

Yeah I have 10 in my 6', but got another 5 for this tank. The ones in this tank love the ADA Aquasoil and are darker in colouration. In the sand based tank, they are lighter in colour and the orange is not as pronounced.

Didn't know they come in that size (usually importer sells bigger ones). How much are they selling in Brisbane at that size?
In Sydney, they sells for $35 for adult size fish (4-4.5cm).

These guys are locally bred and have a great price tag of around $11-12ea
I've seen those imported adults before but I couldn't justify the price for a species which quite frankly isn't that much harder to breed or source from the wild.

Do you know the fellow who bred them or are they from LFS?
Would love to see some at such reasonable prices around here.

They came from a LFS where I was told one of the employees bred them.

How are adolfois compared with C.panda? Are they more hardy or less?
cheers,

They've been as easy to keep and raise as any other corydoras I've kept before. There aren't any specific requirements with the adolfoi compared to pandas except when you start to breed/raise fry. But that just includes fairly soft, acidic water and I've heard needing to raise the adolfoi fry with other corydoras fry as they don't take to food very quickly.

saw some in the weekend in bondi junction for $25... tempted, but wanted to buy a big colony of them, and that was going to be expensive....
