I had 2.

1 disolved, the other lost its leaves but is still putting out lillys.

They both put on a huge growth spurt when I first put them in but gradually faded away.

What do you want to know about them?

I've got 2 banana lillies. One is an absolute rocket, the other not so aggressive.

The good one makes lillies about 6-8" diameter, and sprouts plantlets of the stem just below the lilly itself.

I was just wanting to know how hardy they are if you don't have C02 and what everyones feelings about them were.

Also will a bristlenose pelco bother them??

i had one in my last tank that run co2 and also had them in my pond outdoors a couple of summers back no co2
they are a heavy root feeder as with all water lillies
the one in my tank used to grow leaves over 12inches in diameter and block out most of the light in my tank so i had to keep cutting back the leaves as they got to big

banana lilies are good

banana plants are evil - non aquatics and break down to a pile of gunk over time (they are a bog plant, should have 80-90% emersed)
