Hey ho all..


My water contain's 0 ammonia,0 nitrite and 10mg's of nitrate.Is this acceptable for discus?

I would get rid of the nitrate before putting in any discus into your tank put some cheapy sorta fish in there to speed up the cycle

that nitrate level is ok.

your filter doesnt filter out nitrates, it converts ammonia to nitrites then nitries to nitrates, so the best way to get rid of them is w/c.

id say your filter is already cycled. u can get products that also absorb nitrates, like nitrazorb (i thnk thats what its called, cant remember)

anyway either up the w/c or get a nitrate absorbing media, check ASA they have some
